Main Street Hagerstown, a program of the Department of Community & Economic Development, is actively promoting the Gigabit Initiative (GBI) within downtown Hagerstown. We are a volunteer-based organization that works with businesses, organizations, and local government with the aim of transforming the downtown city environment into a thriving economic and cultural hub. Main Street Hagerstown is working with our partners to develop our community into a top competitor for local businesses. In a digital world, high speed internet is one way to promote a competitive advantage for our local businesses and to secure economic resiliency for our community.
Main Street is continuing to create new ways to actively promote and advance the use of high-speed broadband to bring in new businesses to downtown Hagerstown and enhance the current environment for all city stakeholders.
